Outdoor Fully Biodegradable Polyethlene Tubes

 

The outdoor fully biodegradable polyethylene tube is made from petroleum-based PE material, along with other materials and technologies. After five years of research and testing, although the produced tube still originates from petroleum, it is biodegradable through special processes and technologies, resulting in a final product with degradable properties. This degradable polyethylene has the same performance as traditional PE.

 

Degradable PE tubes, when exposed to an outdoor open environment, the advanced catalytic system can convert the PE into biologically usable low-molecular-weight wax within 3 to 5 months. Microorganisms can easily assimilate it and it will be completely biodegraded within 2 years. The final products are water, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of minerals. After degradation of PE, there will be no microplastics or toxic substances left.

Biodegradation cycle consists of three Phases:

Phases 1: Indoor Storage Environment
During the storage and usage phases, this technology is inactive. The packaging method is the same as that of its non-degradable traditional counterpart.
 

The time frame is about 36 - 60 months.

Phases 2: Outdoor Terrestrial Environment

If it leaks into the open air, prolonged exposure to various environmental factors will cause the material to undergo accelerated disintegration and chemical transformation into wax.

The time frame is about 5- 12months.


Phases 3: Outdoor Terrestrial Environment

Wax is biologically converted into carbon dioxide, water and biomass by naturally occurring microorganisms

The time frame is about 12months.
